With this bundle, am I getting everything I need for the oral exam?
For the oral exam, you will need to prepare for two things: the lesson plan and the domande disciplinari.
The courses On demand course on lesson planning, Designing Activities and Lessons and Teaching Literature in the Language Classroom prepare you for your lesson plan.
The other three courses, Literature and History with Emma Meade-Flynn, Multiple Choice Quizzes on English and American Literature and History and Materie disciplinari cover the knowledge you need to answer the domande disciplinari at your oral exam. These cover the topics included in the programma concorsuale, Parte A2, including literature and history, Second Language Acqusiition, language teaching methods, teaching skills and systems, assessment, World Englishes, English as a Lingua Franca, translanguaging, plurilingualism, the CEFR and EU language policy.
Is there a course in the bundle that explains literature and history from the UK and US?
Yes, there is: our bestseller Literature and History with expert Emma Meade-Flynn. In 12 video-lessons with English subtitles, you will get a detailed overview of English and American literature and history, from Old English to the present day. It is not just a useful course for the exam but also for your development as a teacher.
I don't want the bundle, just individual courses: can I buy some courses individually?
You're welcome to buy the courses individually if you identify one or more that meet your needs. If you do, your access will last for 2 years. Just click on the courses above and purchase them.
How long does it take to complete the courses?
Here is an estimate of the time it will take you to finish each course:
- Literature and history with Emma Meade-Flynn: 25 hours
- Materie disciplinari: 30 hours
- Multiple choice quizzes: 40 hours
- On demand course on lesson planning: 8 hours
- Designing Activities and Lessons: 30 hours
- Teaching Literature in the Language Classroom: 40 hours
Bonus course (AB24 Lesson Planning): 15 hours
Can I cancel the bundle for free?
If you get the monthly bundle, you can absolutely cancel for free, similar to a Netflix subscription. If you don't cancel, renewal will be automatic. Payment will be taken directly from your card on the day your subscription is renewed.
To cancel your subscription, please follow these easy steps. If you cancel your subscription, you will still have access to the bundle until the end of the month you've paid for.
Example:
- You buy the monthly subscription on 7 July, so your renewal is scheduled for 7 August
- You cancel your subscription on 2 August, just a few days before your subscription expires: you will still have access to your content until 7 August
I was enrolled in the old bundle: how can I switch to this one?
If you were enrolled in our old bundle and your access is still active (not expired), you should have already received an email explaining how to switch to the new one. If you haven't for some reason, please email us at [email protected] and we will be happy to assist you. You won't need to buy the new bundle at full price but you can upgrade to it with a pro rata payment.
What's the difference between the monthly bundle and the two-year access?
The monthly bundle gives you access to all 6 courses for one month. After one month, it can renew for another month or you can cancel it for free. The two-year access gives you access to all 6 courses for 2 years straightaway. After 2 years, your access will just expire. The monthly bundle costs €79 per month, while the two year access costs €249.
Can I pay for the bundle in installments instead of paying it all straightaway?
This is a recent innovation: yes, you can. Most people will be able to use the PayPal function "Buy now, pay later". Once you choose what plan you want to buy, choose PayPal as a payment method: if you are eligible, you will be able to divide the total into multiple installments.
Can I try the courses for free before I buy them?
You absolutely can: just open the course you want to try and click "free preview". You will be able to view a free unit of each course, so you can decide if it's the right option for you:
I don't have a lot of time: can I just do some of the courses?
Yes, you can. If you don't have much time, we recommend prioritising:
- Materie disciplinari + Literature and History with Emma Meade-Flynn (for the domande disciplinari)
- On demand course on lesson planning (for your lesson plan)
You can complete these courses in 7-10 days. The advantage of the bundle is that it's available 24/7 and it's modular, so you can always explore more if you have more time left.
How is this bundle different from the old bundle?
This bundle is new and improved because:
- It includes both the Literature and History course with Emma and the On demand course on Lesson planning
- It provides you with certificates of completion you can download straight from your course
- You can pay for it in installments if you're eligible for Buy now, pay later with PayPal
- Its total value is €494, which is a lot higher than the old bundle
