Questions?

We know. Have a look at these Frequently Asked ones, and if you still have any, drop us a message: we're a friendly bunch!

When do the lessons take place?

There are 4 lessons in the course. All the lessons take place on Zoom.

We will run this course two times:

  • First edition: 23, 25, 30 July, 1 August at 11AM
  • Second edition: 26, 28 August, 2, 4 September at 3.30PM*

The lessons will be exactly the same and if you get your access now, you will be able to participate in all the lessons you want at the most convenient times for you.

What does it mean that the lessons are "repeated"?

It means that we know you're busy and hopefully also enjoying some holidays, so we will be running the same course twice to allow you to take part whenever you can. The lessons in July will be in the morning, while the lessons at the end of August-beginning of September will be in the afternoon.

By getting your access to the course, you will be able to participate in all these lessons. So, even if you want to do the same lesson twice, you can!

What topics will we study?

The topics covered in this course were carefully selected based on our analysis of previous domande disciplinari and tracce. Most questions related to the UK and USA, so these countries are predominant, but we also cover the topics in relation to Australia, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Scotland, Singapore and South Africa.

Download the full course programme for a complete overview of the topics.

What is "unlimited access"?

This course includes live lessons, but also a lot of materials that will be available to you for self-study: the video recordings of the lessons with English subtitles, the lesson slides and the downloadable worksheets.

You will have access to all these materials forever - no expiry date.

Can I get a certificate of completion?

You certainly can. Once you complete your course, you will be able to download a certificate of attendance for 8 hours and your name on it automatically from the platform (but we can help you out if you can't do it automatically).

What happens if I can't join live?

If you can't join live in July, you can join live in August. If you can't join live at all, that's not a problem: all the lessons will be recorded and you will find them in your course, with subtitles, from the end of July. You can potentially study the full course in self-study mode - with unlimited access, forever.

How much does this course cost and how can I pay?

The cost for this course includes all the live lessons and all the self-study materials with unlimited, lifetime access. Until 26 July, the early bird, discounted cost is 69 euros with coupon code EARLYBIRD10. This will go up from 27 July.

You can pay via:

  • credit or debit card
  • bank transfer (contact us and we'll arrange one for you)
  • PayPal
  • PayPal Buy Now Pay Later: this lets you pay in 3 delayed installments rather than all straightaway, so you can divide your payment in smaller payments

Where can I find out more?

You can find out everything you need to know about this course by downloading the course programme.

Is it really not going to be boring?

That's certainly our intention! We know culture is a very vast topic, so you need the lessons to be engaging to make the content memorable and easy to understand. Incindentally, that's why it's taken us absolutely ages to design this course - we wanted to get it just right.

Can I participate even if I'm not doing a concorso?

The course is based on the domande disciplinari and tracce of the oral exam, so it is custom-made to make you pass the exam.

However, and this is a big however, it was also designed as a genuinely interesting (we hope) opportunity to learn more about various aspects of culture in English-speaking countries - including the good, the bad and the weird.

In our view, this makes it a lovely opportunity to develop your knowledge, become a better teacher and have a bit of fun while doing it.
