Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do the consultations work?

You will book a consultation via our trainer's calendars. You can book a consultation either for the days and weeks before your exam, to practise lesson planning, or for the 24 hours before the exam. As soon as you complete your booking, you will receive an email with some tracce. If you are just practising in the weeks before exam, you will design a presentation on a traccia and send it to your trainer 48 hours before your meeting. Your trainer will review it, prepare detailed feedback and discuss it with you during a Zoom meeting. If you are booking a consultation for the 24 hours before your exam, you will send your trainer your draft presentation before or during the meeting and they will give you feedback on how to improve it.

  • Can I book a consultation for the weeks before my exam?

Yes, absolutely! You can book a consultation for any time available in the weeks before your exam. When you complete your booking, you will automatically receive a choice of task rubrics (tracce) to prepare. You will prepare a presentation and send it to your trainer 48 hours before your meeting. Your trainer will prepare their feedback on it and discuss it with you during your meeting.

  • Can I book a consultation for the 24 hours before my exam?

    Yes, you can!

  • Will I receive feedback on my lesson plan?

If you book a consultation for the weeks before your exam and you send your trainer your presentation 48 hours before your meeting, you will get detailed feedback on how to improve it. If you book a consultation for the 24 hours before your exam, you will still send your trainer a draft of your presentation and they will give you feedback on how to improve it.

  • Can my trainer help me brainstorm ideas for my traccia?

Your trainer can advise on the ideas in your draft presentation. They can comment on your work even if it is not 100% complete. However, please note that trainers need at least a draft to work with and they will not just advise you generically on how to do your lesson plan.

  • Can I record my meeting?

Meetings will not be recorded to protect the intellectual property and privacy of all parties involved.

  • How much does a consultation cost?

A consultation includes the assignment of a task with guidance, the trainer's work marking your presentation, a one-hour meeting on Zoom and any follow-up communication. The rate for this is 70 euros. If you booked a consultation with us in 2022, you may notice the current rate is higher. This is due to the fact that we now have to charge 22% IVA on all consultations. This is connected to our new company status, needed to apply for the carta docente in 2024-25.

  • How can I book a consultation?

Just open a trainer's calendar, check their availability, complete the payment and you'll get a confirmation email with a Zoom link straightaway!

  • I can't find any available time slots: what can I do?

All available time slots are in the trainers' calendars. If you can't find any, it's because they have all been booked up. Availability is limited and it is allocated on a first come first served basis. Do check again after a few days as additional time slots may become available.
